Chris and I got married today. I could write endless pages about our wedding. About the blur of excitement, the family and friends. The hours leading to that epic moment. To the chapter I always hoped to read. The one where all those pieces finally begin to fit.
But these words paint a better picture than I ever could.

Chris’s vows to me:

Today is the day you wait your whole life for. The day I get to say “I do” to my best friend, my partner in crime and my equal.
You support me.
You challenge me.
You make me laugh.
You push me further.
You ground me.
You explore with me.
You relax with me.
You are just like me.
You complete me.
You push my buttons.
You let me push yours back.
You know when to say the right thing.
You know when to listen.
But most importantly, you are the love of my life and you make me happier than I could ever imagine and more loved than I ever thought possible…
You have made me a better person.

So on this day,
I give you my heart,
my promise,
that I will walk with you,
hand in hand,
wherever our journey leads us,
living, learning, loving,
together, forever.

I love you Ryan Heller.

My vows to Chris:

Chris,

I can close my eyes and remember sitting in my room as a kid, wishing to find that thing I always knew was missing. I felt you even before we met, because we have been together in so many lives before. I would write about my missing twin, the other half of myself that I could sense but never find.

Until the day I met you.
And everything just made sense.

You and I were meant to walk the depths of life alone, so we could one day unite and experience the heights together. To move forward on a journey that now seems limitless and full of possibility. We are the balance, the harmony of light and dark, yin and yong. You are my anchor. The ground that keeps me grounded. The hope that keeps me hopeful.

Chris you helped me find myself, held my hand even in the darkest of places. When I could never understand why you loved me, you always said because you knew my heart. You loved me until I loved myself. And today, I can say that I love you because of your heart. Your unbelievably beautiful mind. And your old, kind, magical soul. I am grateful to share this journey with you and have the honor to call you my husband.

I love you.
